Mission 
Multicultural is broadly defined to include ethnicity, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and ability. The purpose of this Roundtable is to enable libraries, library faculty and staff to reach out to diverse populations and
  • Enhance knowledge to work effectively with diverse populations through programs, workshops, and discussion forums
  • Increase library resources and services to diverse communities within CUNY
  • Promote recruitment and retention of underrepresented diverse populations into the library profession

EXPLORING LIBRARY SERVICE IN VIETNAM

As a Fulbright Senior Specialist, Kenneth Schlesinger traveled to
Vietnam for six weeks this fall to consult with three academic libraries
on strategic planning and international copyright law. Come see photo
documentation of these institutions and hear his findings - shocking
but true - about the current state of Vietnamese libraries. He will also
make future recommendations as these libraries adapt to the Western open access service model.
