ISSN 1944-9674 Urban Library Journal, formerly known as Urban Academic Librarian, also invites submissions in broader areas such as public higher education, urban studies, multiculturalism, library and educational services to immigrants, preservation of public higher education, and universal access to World Wide Web resources. Topics for columns and special issues will also be entertained. Urban Library Journal, an official publication of the Library Association of the City University of New York, plans to publish two issues annually.
